Classical Concepts for Modern Reformer

Classical Reformer is COOL.

It's an incredible system of exercises that build on each other. The foundations are rock solid. And those big, fancy exercises? They're like the reward at the end of the journey.

BUT (and it's a big but) we all know that teaching pure classical sequences in a modern class format can be tricky. Some things just don't translate well into today's teaching reality.

That's exactly what we're going to look at.

This workshop has sold out in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne. It's finally coming to Perth.

28 June 2026 | 10am–12pm | Go Slo Studio, Fremantle WA $160

A woman on a Reformer is receiving assistance from a Pilates instructor.

What we'll cover

1. The Art of Exercise Flow

You're going to learn how to lead into and out of every single exercise. No more awkward transitions or momentum-killing pauses. We're talking smooth, purposeful movements that make sense.

How do you get from Footwork to Hundred without losing everyone? What's the smartest way to build up to Long Stretch? When should you throw in a moment of rest?

2. Programming for Concepts, Not Just Exercise Lists

Forget teaching random exercise variations just to keep things interesting. We're going deeper.

What's the real point of each exercise? How do movement patterns connect? Why does the order actually matter? You'll learn to build classes that teach real skills, not just sequences.

3. Building Toward Those Juicy Advanced Exercises

You know those exercises that make everyone go "WOW"? We're going to break down how to get your clients there.

What foundation needs to be rock solid first? Which prep exercises actually work? How do you know when someone's ready to progress? What's the backup plan when things need more time?
